Matthew here from Queensland Opal Cutters. I thought I would start a website blog just to keep everyone updated and hopefully let you know when new stock of Opal will be up online.
The good news is we have a brilliant new batch of upcoming Fairy Opals that look fantastic! We are going to put them up for great prices too, so get them while you can. Our aim is to have a large variety of sizes for everyone. My personal favorites are the large specimen pieces which are just pure eye candy. You wouldn't be able to wear them around your neck but it's great to have on your desk while you work.
I'm also mixing things up by making parcels of treated Fairy Opal rubs for cutters and lapidary artists to have their shot at the joy of Fairy Opals. I really recommend giving it a go, even though it's a bit challenging at times. The colour reveal is always reward enough.
It's been a bit wet here in Queensland recently. Great for the water tank but the horses are getting annoyed.
